KB INSTRUCTORS

The Chief Instructor,  Kelly Bunyan, started Kung Fu (Lau Gar) in 1985.  She attained Black Sash standard in 1991.  She is also a 4th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing.  Her instructor was Kevin Brewerton, five time World Champion.  With 25+ years of experience, Kelly has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to all who train with her.

Semi-contact sparring was an important part of the syllabus, which captured Kelly's interests - hence her desire to take up Kickboxing and later form 'KB Kickboxing'.  She believes that people can benefit greatly in the areas of self-confidence, physical conditioning, and personal growth through Martial Arts training in London and absolutely loves passing on her knowledge of Kung Fu and Kickboxing.

Dalia Terret has been training in the martial arts for an amazing 32+ years!  In 1993 she attained black belt standard in Judo.  She took up Kickboxing in later years.  She is also a 2nd Dan Kickboxing Black Belt.

Dalia's role is to lay solid foundations for all KB Members' martial art careers, whilst motivating her students to a point of KB addiction.

All KB Members are prepared for their first two belts (Blue and Green) by Dalia.  After 1-2 years of training with Dalia, students can begin to progress to Kelly's advanced classes.  Dalia loves being key in her students' progression from one level to the next.

Debra Ross-Matthews obtained her black belt in December 2009 after 6.5 years of training under Kelly's guidance.  Debs is an inspiration to all KB Members, as she is living proof that Kelly's black belt is achievable. She loves passing on the 'KB High' to all new members.

Debra teaches the school's complete beginners, as well as covering Dalia's intermediate lessons from time to time.

Self Defence is part of the Grading System, therefore all KB Instructors are qualified to teach both Self Defence and Kickboxing classes, to ensure that our Members are all-round martial artists.

Jane Hamilton achieved black belt standard in March 2010.  After 5 years of intensive training, Jane has been a tremendous example to her peers; proving that hard work and determination will pay off.  Jane currently teaches classes at London Bridge as well as covering other KB training venues.

All KB Instructors are qualified, holding licences for insurance purposes, awarded to them by WAKO - a respected body which has many representatives throughout the world.  They have the ability to motivate, instill discipline and confidence, at the same time as being patient and committed to ensuring that each and every one of their students is satisfied with their progress.

KB Kickboxing also has 'guest' instructors who teach classes from time to time. Kevin Brewerton, Paul Hoppe, Richard Devaney and Damien McLoughlin.  The classes can focus on grappling techniques, tournament /sparring tips, street defence, traditional Kung Fu, Karate, Judo...anything that is desired!  This ensures that all of KB Kickboxing's students can gain knowledge from varying perspectives

All guest instructors are black belts in Kung Fu and Kickboxing - with a history of different martial arts under their belts

All KB Fitness's weekly Kickboxing & Holistic Instructors are female.
